Xiaomi recently launched the latest version of Mi A series the Mi A3 - starting just from INR 12,999/.
Talking about the previous versions, Mi A1 was launched in Sept 2017 and it was truly a great phone in my opinion. With Mi A1 Xiaomi introduced the world with Android One. Android One is a stock android operating system by Google that promises two years of Operating System updates and three years of security updates.
Following the huge success of Mi A1, Xiaomi also came up with Mi A2. But apparently, it didn't go well with Indian users as Xiaomi made a mistake by eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage option.
With Mi A3, Xiaomi decided to resolve these concerns raised by many Indian users. Mi A3 comes with an audio jack and it also gives you an option to add a microSD card for additional storage.

Xiaomi has completely upgraded the design and battery capacity of the device.
The device feels very premium as both the front and back panels of the Xiaomi Mi A3 are covered with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection including the rear camera lenses.
Further, I will breakdown the device description into Pros and Cons so that you can easily conclude as per your priorities if Xiaomi Mi A3 is the right smartphone for you.

Pros:
- Stock Android Operating System with regular updates by Google.
- 48MP + 8MP + 2 MP Primary AI triple camera with Sony IMX586 sensor (f/1.79 aperture), 32 MP AI selfie camera
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 665
- 4030 mAh battery backup with 18W Fast charge capability
- 7th Gen In-screen fingerprint sensor
- Compact and sturdy design
- 6.08 inch AMOLED Display with the 3D curved rear design
Cons:
- Although Mi A3 comes with an AMOLED display, it offers 720P HD display. It has a resolution of 1560 x 720 which is less as compared to usual 1080P displays in the smartphones at this price range.
- The Snapdragon (SD) 665 SOC does seem to be an upgrade on paper. However, considering other mid-range competitors like Vivo Z1 Pro, Realme 5 Pro which provides Snapdragon 712 SOC, Xiaomi could have bundled a more recent version of SD processor with Mi A3.
- If you are a heavy gamer, then you might face some minor lags. You might also notice some games working on a low graphic mode.
Xiaomi Mi A3 is available in 3 colors - More than White, Not just Blue, Kind of Grey.
You get two variants to choose from :
- 4GB RAM - 64 GB storage (INR 12,999/-)
- 6GB RAM -128 GB storage (INR 15,999/-)
Final Opinion
The competition for mid-range (12k-16k) smartphones in India is very high. Despite tough competitors, Mi A3 has some really great features to offer like Excellent battery backup, Amazing Camera, Compact and Sturdy design, at such a low price range.
If you hate MIUI but still a Xiaomi fan for hardware specs, then definitely purchasing this device makes sense as Stock android has no bloatware or Ads.
