So I just opened many links and was going through the skills required for job. There I got to know, if you want to launch career as front end developer or as a web developer then the basic skills required for it is HTML and CSS.
So today's post is all about the new course provided by Udacity for beginners. Don't be tensed if you don't have any knowledge of coding. It is a basic level course where you will learn the basics for web development.
Let's proceed with discussion over this course. It is free of cost and if you spend 6 hours per week then it might take around 3 weeks to complete this course.
* Well, the first question in your mind will be "What will I learn??"
The answer is that you will be able to learn to build and design a website by learning all the coding from basic level. Even if haven't heard about HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language), then just relax. This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of HTML which is foundation of every language used for website development and then CSS(Cascading Style Sheets) will be taught to enhance the design of website.
The syllabus of this course is as follows:
1. HTML, CSS and Boxes
First of all, an introduction of HTML will be given by instructors. Each and every section have some quiz to make sure that every concept is cleared to you. Plus, a short interview of front end developer at Udacity will be delivered in order to know the actual environment in job as a web developer. You will get to know the scope, roles and day to day life of an front end developer.
After that, the course will proceed in introducing CSS for styling web pages and adding more functionalities. The instructors will teach you to code a block of statements in real world, test it and to verify it.
2. CSS Frameworks, responsive layouts
From the heading, you might got to know that this section will be concentrated on design. So having a close look on this part, you will learn to build layouts as well as responsive web pages, creating your own project and applying the skills being taught.
3. Bootstrap and other frameworks
Actually as per I know, Bootstrap is a front end library for developing websites and web applications. Well, to know more about it, a separate section is provided over here for bootstrap.
Again an interview with the developer will be presented for deeper learning about the working environment as front end developer by applying such skills in real world.
After completing these sections successfully, the last thing will be developing your own project as per criteria specified by instructors.
