Most of the time, people have mentioned the top habits of successful people. Habits can range from time management to ‘believe-in-yourself’ attitude. But the most common habit of these successful people is ‘Reading.’
What makes reading so much useful and a necessity?
- It enhances your vocabulary.
- You can get information about anything, thus increasing your knowledge.
- Reading develops your imagination because you visualize a scene while reading.
- We can learn even life lessons with books.
But carrying books everywhere can be a burden sometimes. For this issue, many developers have developed very useful reading apps where you can read a variety of books. There are many reading apps available, but I have sorted some useful among these for you:
Let’s have a glimpse around those books' apps:
AnyBooks - Offline Books
Many of the readers surf for free resources where they could read any book without purchasing it. This lets the reader have familiarity with every book and surf through the category of books. Here is one of the best resources I came across, i.e., AnyBooks app.
This app has a lot of books available for us to read any time for free of cost. The best thing about AnyBooks is that it is an offline app, and thus we can read peacefully, with no ads. No matter whether you are traveling or stuck in traffic, AnyBooks provides you with books of different topics.
Key features of AnyBooks:
- Free of cost.
- Read offline.
- No ads.
- Popular and trending books available.
- A broad range of categories.

Unfortunately, this app isn’t available for iOS users for now.
Blinkist - Nonfiction Books
For the busy people out there who are fond of reading, but cannot complete a single book because of their hectic schedule, here is the solution for them.
Blinklist is a 15-min read app. You can read any book or even the app can read out the book for you. But I’ll suggest reading will be the better way. The paid app will be favorable as you can select and read a book among a variety of topics, but the free version is more than enough for us. You can even customize the text size and theme.
(You can change the text size and set the theme for better reading)
The free version provides you with a short book every day. It will take at-most 15 mins to complete. You will get a different book to read every day. With this free version, you can get a variety of knowledge and can have a touch on many domains.
Key features of BlinkList:
- Free and paid version available.
- Get to read a new book every day in the free version.
- Short books — read within 15 minutes.
- Customize the reading experience by selecting the theme (light mode or dark mode).
- Highlight your favorite lines of the book. (Paid version)
Till now, these were the apps that I really liked and I go through these every day. There are much new stuff that we get to know through books, and if they are easy-to-carry everywhere in our device, then why don’t we take benefit of such resources.
